Established in April 1976, following the creation of Ogun State, the Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGSHC) stands as a cornerstone in the state’s development. Born from the legacy of the Western Nigeria Housing Corporation, we are committed to providing accessible, quality housing and fostering sustainable communities. Our foundation is rooted in the Ogun State Edict No. 11 (1977) and the Ogun State Housing Corporation Law of 1983, ensuring a robust legal framework for our operations.

Our History

From inheriting two estates at inception to developing over thirty estates across Ogun State, OGSHC has consistently expanded its reach and impact. Over the past 45 years, we have delivered thousands of homes, contributing significantly to the state's growth. Notable achievements include:
The Presidential Mandate Scheme: Delivering 100 units of interlocking bricks bungalows, pioneering the use of local materials and sustainable construction. Shell Stage Bungalows: Providing flexible housing options, allowing buyers to customize their homes.
HID Awolowo Estate: Creating a premium, gated community with state-of-the-art infrastructure. AA.K Degun Mitros Estate: Providing quality housing for public servants, contributing to the government's homeownership program.
Laderin Estate Neighbourhood Market: supporting the local economy by creating a modern market place. Ibara Mews GRA: A modern townhouse development utilizing innovative building technology.
Prince Court, Idi-Aba, Kemta, Abeokuta and Boft Gardens, Along Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway: Current projects that are addressing the housing deficit; and then The formation of Gateway Mortgage Bank in partnership with OPIC.

The Ogun State Housing Corporation came into existence at the creation of Ogun State of Nigeria in April 1976. The Corporation was established and formalized through the enactment of Ogun State Edict No. 11 published in the Ogun State of Nigeria Gazette No. 12 Volume 2 of 16th June 1977.
